We are very pleased to welcome Ilka Hameister am 29.11.2022 at 5.15pm - 6.45pm in the seminar building, room S 205 (Universitätsstraße 1). She will talk about and discuss (agonal) approaches to conflict encounters in the classroom.
A short teaser for the event:
Conflicts in schools make permanent (in)visible demands on students and teachers. In addition to the pedagogical challenges, there are also didactical ones when political controversies are made an explicit subject of learning. Approaches that place rational dialogue at the center of conflict resolution are firmly anchored in theory and practice. In contrast, the lecture focuses on an approach that places emotional dissent at the center. In addition to reflections on democratic theory, practical adaptations in the classroom will be presented and discussed.
