We're researching class-room interaction as well as language teachers' class-room discourse competence using CA-based methods. In this project we're also compiling the L-TECC (Language Teacher Education Classroom Corpus) featuring class-room videos and transcripts.

We're investigating initial literacy development and the teaching of writing skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL). PhD student Anne Schrader is conducting a design-based research project into enriching primary EFL lessons with reading and writing components.
