Dr. Katrin Rothmaler is a research fellow at the Humboldt Science Centre for Child Development (HumanKind) at Leipzig University. With a doctorate in neuroscience and an interdisciplinary academic background (studies in mathematics and psychology, PhD in computer science) she brings a unique perspective to her research. At the Humboldt Science Centre, Dr. Rothmaler leads the Leipzig longitudinal study about kindness (LiebKind for short). In this study, she and her team follow children from birth to adulthood to uncover the origins of humanity, prosociality and kindness.
