Abstract

I have completed my studies of Special Needs Education at the University of Leipzig in the summer of 2022. I was nominated for the award "Examenspreis" for an outstanding graduation thesis.

Since November 2022, I am working as Research Associate in the field of Emotional and Social Development in Special Education and Inclusive Contexts at the University of Leipzig. In addition, I am project co-collaborator in the <Arqus Inclusion & Diversity Hub> within Inclusive Education and Special Educational Needs in Learning.

I have supported the project <L-Of-esE> in the development of organisational school and learning settings for students with special educational needs in emotional and social development since July 2022.

My research interests focus on individual and educational dimensions of school attendance problems related to internalizing problems from the perspective of professionals in international comparative contexts, especially Sweden and Germany.

I am also interested in the role of teachers' self-efficacy towards young pupils who belong to certain risk groups (e. g. school refusal, emotional distress, psychosocial health problems such as depression, anxiety, somatic symptoms etc.).

Further, my research interests revolve around international networking and the establishment of hubs in the context of inclusive higher education (as part of the Arqus University Alliance).


My main research methods are quantitative (esp. statistical programs R and SPSS for data analysis).

I wish to gain knowledge in mixed methodology, combining a qualitative research approach (esp. interviews with focus groups for data gathering).
