Teaching and Studies

Module 05-BWI-06 (Assessment, Support, Counselling)

The module "Assessment, Support, Counselling" is aimed at all student teachers. It comprises three semester hours and is completed with a project work.

In the lecture and the project seminars, students acquire knowledge about the basics, tasks and functions of educational-psychological diagnostics. Furthermore, in the project seminars, competences for conducting conversations and counselling with parents and pupils as well as for the selection and implementation of a suitable support procedure in the school context are developed.

Module 05-020-1002 (Basics of diagnostics)

The module takes place every winter semester. In the lecture, students acquire the basics of the procedure of educational-psychological diagnostics with a special focus on the context of giftedness and competence diagnostics. In the corresponding exercise, the theoretical foundations are deepened by means of exemplary applications of selected diagnostic methods.

The module is completed with a written exam.

Module 05-020-1008 (Diagnostics and counselling I)

The module takes place every summer semester. The module deepens knowledge of the cognitive development of (highly) giftedness, its development over the course of life and in different learning environments. In addition, knowledge on the application and evaluation of different approaches to the diagnosis and counselling of (high) giftedness is imparted.

The module concludes with a project work.

Examinations

Submission deadline (summer semester 2023)

  • You will receive all information about the examination performance in the courses or in the Moodle course.
  • Date of submission: 14 February 2024
  • The submission takes place in digital form via the Moodle course.

Retakes are possible at the regular examination dates for the summer and winter semesters.

  • Deadline for the summer semester 2023: 14 February 2024
  • The submission takes place in digital form via Moodle.

If you wish to have a retake, please proceed as follows:

  1. You register for the examination at the Examinations Office (Prüfungsamt)
  2. You contact Dr. Katrin Gottlebe with your name and matriculation number. Please use the contact form.
  3. You will receive a topic for your examination paper.
  4. You submit your module exam on the above exam date in the Moodle course.

There is no deadline for registering for the retake. However, we recommend that you contact us at the beginning of the semester in order to have enough time to process your application.
