EULe is a research project of the Chair of Psychology in School and Teaching. It deals with questions of teaching aptitude, teacher health and the professionalisation of teachers. In numerous sub-projects, we contribute to the further development and scientific foundation of teacher training.

Study readiness indicators

We validate constructs that predict subjective and objective educational and career success. In several subprojects, we follow a cohort of students to investigate the extent to which students perceive internships as a burden or an enrichment.

Learn more about the EULe research project

The EULe project is concerned with the role of interdisciplinary competences for academic and professional success in the teaching profession. On the basis of the Person-Environment-Fit (Holland, 1997), we examine the characteristics of students entering teacher education. We are also interested in the skills they acquire during their studies, which support their success in their studies and their ability to prove themselves in the profession. Constructs such as social integration or action control are examined in various subprojects. Starting in 2016, a longitudinal study follows a cohort of 1200 students studying to become teachers at Leipzig University.
